Cold Water and Cold Drinks Rehydrate Faster and Taste Better
The American College of Sports Medicine recommends that water and other drinks be chilled when injested during exercise.
Research by the AMCS has shown cold water passes through the stomach faster and is therefore sent to the intestines for quicker absorption. Cold drinks also help to lower body temperature and taste better so it is more likely the athlete will drink more and drink more often.
